FHHS Student Attends Cardiac Camp

Danijela Manjencich, student at Francis Howell High School was one of twelve students from the St. Louis area selected to attend Cardiac Camp in conjunction with the Washington University School of Medicine. Danijela was the only student from the Francis Howell School District to attend the camp over the summer.   more

Students at John Weldon Elementary took a stroll down Safety Street, an interactive learning strategy for children grades pre-kindergarten through fifth, sponsored by Saint Louis Children's Hospital and Kohl’s Department store. The overall goal of Safety Street is to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities in the community.  more

FHSD Tax Rate Hearing Scheduled for Sept. 15

A public hearing will be held prior to the regular Board of Education meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m. on September 15, 2011 at 4545 Central School Road, at which time citizens may be heard on the proposed property tax rates to be set by the Board of Education of the Francis Howell R-III School District.   more
Francis Howell Central Students Receive Awards from NSPA

The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) announced Lauren Kastner, 2011 Francis Howell Central (FHC) High School graduate and Kelci Davis, junior at FHC as finalists in the 2011 NSPA “Roll-Out Week,” Picture of the Year contest. During the week of September 6, NSPA announced finalists for one or more of the 2011 Individual Awards and Pacemaker contests.   more
FHC Student selected for USA Baseball's 17U Midwest Region Team

Ryan Howard, a junior at Francis Howell Central, has been selected to be a member of the USA Baseball’s 17 & Under Midwest Region Team and has been invited to participate in the 2011 U.S.A. Baseball National Team Series, September 8 – 11 in Cary, North Carolina at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. This program serves as an integral stepping-stone in USA Baseball’s National Team Athlete Development Pipeline.  more

FHC Football Team to take on Holt in Great American Football Classic

The Francis Howell Central Spartan football team will take part in the 2011 Great American Football Classic that will be held at the Edward Jones Dome this weekend. The Spartans will take on GAC South Rival, the Holt Indians at 4:00 p.m. on September 10th. This will be the third of four games on Saturday.   more
FHHS to Provide Shuttles at Home Football Games

Due to the ongoing construction at Francis Howell High School (FHHS) there will be a reduction in parking at all home varsity football games. In an effort to control traffic flow, FHHS will be providing a shuttle service from commuter lots located on the service roads on both sides of Highway 94, parallel to Highway 40, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Shuttles will run continuously until all spectators have left the premises following all games.   more
