FHSD to Begin Work on Next Strategic Plan

FHSD is in the process of working on our next five-year strategic plan, and the District needs the help of our stakeholders! Students, staff, parents, and the larger FHSD community will all have the opportunity to provide feedback and be a valuable part of the process. The planning process will examine the District’s mission, vision, and values; help identify long-range goals; and create critical strategy action plans. The process will be divided into three basic steps:

  • Where are we now? Reviewing the District’s current reality.

  • Where are we going? Establish consensus about the desired direction of our District.

  • How will we get there? Setting strategic goals, and determining a plan of action.

Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a community engagement meeting. Each day will be hosted by a different high school, and include three different meetings, one specifically designed for students, one for staff, and one for community members. The meetings are scheduled for the following dates:

Sept. 28 at Francis Howell High School
Staff Meeting 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Community Meeting 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Oct. 3 at Francis Howell North
Staff Meeting 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Community Meeting 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Oct. 4 at Francis Howell Central
Staff Meeting 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Community Meeting 6:30 – 8:30 PM

A successful strategic plan will serve as a guide to help achieve the District’s Mission, Vision, and Values. It will also build a shared vision for all District stakeholders, and establish a means of tracking progress to ensure a high-quality education for all FHSD students.
