During the week second week of May, third grade students from each Francis Howell School District (FHSD) elementary school participated in Spectra’s Third Annual FHSD Creates event.

The event was held at the St. Charles Community College and was facilitated by FHSD elementary Gifted Education Specialists. During the event, all third grade Spectra students participated in a creative problem solving competition.

Students were asked to work cooperatively to create a team flag, challenged to use a set of materials to create the longest structure possible, and collaborate to design, build, and present their dream room.  Students were judged for their creativity and teamwork throughout the planning and building processes.
