FHSD to Host Parent University Sept. 10

The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is partnering with community organizations and our internal professionals to offer Parent University, a morning of free sessions to equip families with new or additional skills, knowledge, and resources on a variety of topics related to raising happy, healthy, successful children. Parent University will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Saeger Middle School in Cottleville. Registration and a vendor fair will start at 8:00 AM, with sessions from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  READ MORE...
FHC Spartan Football at FHC Fall Festival

All three Francis Howell School District (FHSD) high school athletic programs were recently named “Leadership Schools” by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), the governing body of high school sports in the state. It’s an award created to honor sportsmanship and leadership in school. And if it’s something that FHSD sports has been known to exhibit, it is sportsmanship.  READ MORE...

Independence students cheer at the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart Awards Assembly

Independence Elementary, part of the Francis Howell School District (FHSD) and a National School of Character, is never shy to show its philanthropic nature. The school’s staff, students, and parents have partnered many times to raise money for various charities, and have performed other service activities that have brightened the lives of so many around them. But if proof is what you need in order to congratulate these youngsters and their parents, and the teachers and staff who inspire them to build ever greater character, then being named a Top 10 School in Missouri for donations raised for the American Heart Association might be testimony.  READ MORE...

Francis Howell doesn’t only have stellar students, but also stellar teachers as well! One of them is Christopher Campbell, who teaches third grade at Central Elementary. Last month he received recognition as one of the Stellar Alumni from the Youth Exploring Science Program (Y.E.S.) at the St. Louis Science Center.  READ MORE...
