​Allison Foster could be your doctor one day. The student from Francis Howell High School (FHHS) took part in the prestigious Students and Teachers as Research Scientists (STARS) program, a program that puts secondary students into real-world experiences in their field. By participating in the program, Foster became a co-author of a manuscript published in the John Hopkins Medicine Journal of Perinatology, truly a rare accomplishment for someone so young.  READ MORE...

Francis Howell Board of Education Approves New Superintendent

After an extensive national search, meetings with staff, and input from patrons, the Francis Howell School District (FHSD) Board of Education voted unanimously to hire Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris as the next superintendent of schools beginning July 1, 2016. FHN students place sixth nationally in Crystal Growing competition

Three students from Francis Howell North (FHN) High School participated in the United States Crystal Growing Competition, and placed sixth nationally – for the overall quality of their crystal. Riley Lawson, and twin sisters Hannah and Sarah Zimmerman, all from FHN, had fun making crystals while getting a stimulating introduction to chemistry and imperative scientific principles.  READ MORE...
Record-Setting Students – FHHS’s Martin breaks Guinness World Record

Teachers and parents say it all the time: you can accomplish anything if you set your mind to it. But how often do students take that seriously? MacKenzie Martin, a student at Francis Howell High School (FHHS), set her mind to breaking the Guinness World Record for longest staple-chain. In a fun spectacle that included MacKenzie’s family, many friends, and a local surveying company, it was a community coming together to root her on as she laid down an 1100 foot chain of staples that signified her ambition and dedication.  READ MORE...
