While summer is a time for most to relax and enjoy the sun, Francis Howell
Middle School athletes were hard at work on the field, on the court, in the
pool, and in the gym. Practice and perseverance paid off for these Francis
Howell Middle School athletes as they took top honors in their sports over
the summer:
Brendan Trimble: Won Cardinals Team of the Year and State
Championship (baseball)
Emily Phelps: Placed 2nd in Womens U.S. Tennis Tournament
Megan Garard: Won Coachs Award, awarded for player who displays high
character in sportsmanship
Andrew Barker: Second place in baseball championship
Ben Mullins: Won second place in baseball championship
Alison Pratt, Taylor Knoke, and Hannah Wooten: won first place,
softball team, New Melle League
Alison Henkelman: First place in county in softball
Josie Reardon: Third place, soccer, Show-Me-State
Makayla Thompson, Kristen Adams and Rachel Kelly: First place,
softball
Ryan Bagget: 8th out of 24 runners, 5K Race at the Zoo
Jaclyn Kavanaugh and Kelly Kallbrier: 3rd place, Show-Me-State,soccer
Lauren Brabhan: 1st place in butterfly at the All County swim meet
Erin Weaver: 3rd place, Show-Me-State, soccer
Cameron Rose: 1st in baseball tournament
Alex Schoenherr: First in baseball tournament, New Melle
Chris Bringer: 1st place in Hockey championship
Billy Miller: Grand Champion in Woodworking (made a guncase, houses 9
shotguns); 1st place in sheep showing at the St. Charles County Fair;
baseball team- 1st place
Mason Mitchell: 11th place, Rookie State Wrestling Meet
