Minds in Motion
For young children turning 3 years of age on or after August 1, 2008

Available to children attending in AM half day preschool including all early childhood and
early childhood special education (no take home bus provided) and Minds in Motion.

$25.00 Non-Refundable Activity/Supply Fee is due at time of enrollment.

Extended Day Information

An extended day will be offered as part of the half day preschool program at the
Early Childhood Family Education Centers on the half day preschool calendar.
Following is information about this program:

• Tuition for all half day preschool and extended day will be charged according to the number of half days a child attends in a week. See the table above for tuition amounts.
• Extended day is offered Monday through Friday afternoons (11:45-3:45) for all children attending in the morning half day preschool-this includes all early childhood, early childhood special education (no take home bus provided) and Minds In Motion children.
• Parents are not required to be parent helper in extended day.
• Two facilitators will supervise a class of 16 children.
• The curriculum will be similar to preschool and will include music/movement, art, science, mathematics, creative play and positive self-esteem as well as lunch and quiet time.
• Parents provide a lunch and drink each day.
• Extended day is for four hours beyond the three-hour preschool time.
• When there is no AM or PM preschool, there will not be extended day offered in the afternoon.
• Children enrolled on Monday, Wednesday and Friday AM for preschool may enroll for
1, 2, or 3 afternoons (Mon and/or Wed. and/or Fri.) of extended day.
• Children enrolled on Tuesday and Thursday AM for preschool may enroll for 1 or 2 afternoons
(Tues. and/or Thurs.) for extended day.
• Children in Monday through Friday preschool may enroll for up to 5 extended day sessions.
