Back-to-School Checklist
The first day of school will be here before you know it. Below is a checklist of tasks that need to be completed before students return on Monday, August 24.
- Complete the Online Registration Annual Verification (ORAV) by September 1.
- Bookmark / Print the 2026-27 Student Academic Calendar.
- Review school supply lists.
- Mark your calendar for Transition Day on August 20.
- Schedule immunization and physical appointments with your healthcare provider, as needed.
- Check meal balances and add funds to your child(ren)'s lunch account.
- Fill out the 2026-27 Free and Reduced Price Meals application.
- Review your communication preferences.
- Request changes to bus transportation by August 14.
- Pay school fines and fees.
- Review student account passwords and make a plan to reset if needed.
- Register for fall sports and activities.
- Look for communication from individual schools regarding additional information.
- Keep an eye out for MAP/EOC test scores.
- Join our team.
- Get certified to be a school volunteer.
- Volunteer to serve on a committee.
- Review the cell phone and electronic device policy.
- Review FERPA information and opt out options.
- Review challenged materials.
- Review your school's handbook located on their website.
- New this school year: All secondary students will be issued a Chromebook.

High school students should bring a notebook and pen/pencil to school the first few days. Any specific supply needs for high school courses will be communicated by teachers the first week of school.
