Summer Programs

Summer camps provide opportunities for students to explore interests and experience hands-on learning. All FHSD students are eligible to enroll in summer camps, with selection based on lottery. Summer school programs are designed to help students who need additional support and are generally only available by invitation from the District.

Enrollment for elementary and middle school summer enrichment camps typically begins in March. Communication about the dates registration opens and closes, as well as when families will be notified about placement, will be included in the District eNews.

Most summer school and summer camps are free for FHSD students. Certain high school programs may carry a small fee.

Parents/guardians must provide their own transportation for summer enrichment camps. Transportation is provided by request for participants in the Extended School Year program, Kindergarten Summer Success Program, Elementary Summer Success Program, Middle School Summer Success Program, High School Credit Recovery and some High School Credit Advancement.

If your child is identified as one who could benefit from our Summer Success program, you will receive direct communication from the District in February or March. Students with the greatest need will have the first opportunity to enroll. Space is limited, so if your child is invited to participate, we encourage you to register at the link provided as soon as possible. There is no cost to attend Summer Success and bus transportation is available on request.
