Summer Camps

The Francis Howell School District offers summer camps for interested students. These enrichment camps provide an opportunity for students to explore interests and experience hands-on learning. Summer camps are free to attend, and transportation is the responsibility of the parents.

Most camps are five days (with the exception of Theater Camp.) Times for each camp are noted below. Camp dates vary, and are dependent on enrollment and staffing.

We appreciate your interest in FHSD Summer Camps and look forward to a fun and engaging summer for our students.

Elementary Camp Adventure

Registration for FHSD Elementary Camp Adventure opens at 7 a.m. on March 2 and closes at 5 p.m. on March 6, 2026.

Registration is first come, first served. Students are placed in camps in the order applications are received. We encourage families to apply as early as possible to increase the chance of receiving preferred camps.

Important registration details:

Each camp is a one-week, half-day session, offered in either the morning or afternoon.

  • Students may apply for up to four camps.

  • Families may combine a morning and afternoon camp in the same week to create a full day.

  • Families may not register for full-day camps across all four weeks.

Full four-week, full-day registration is not available.

Families will receive an email by March 25 with their camp placement or waitlist status, along with camp confirmations and schedules.

Camp Descriptions

Camp Adventure uses a rotating curriculum every other year. This helps students avoid repeating the same activities in consecutive summers. Camps with robotics components allow returning students to move into more advanced programming when appropriate.

All Camp Adventure curriculum and activities are designed with beginners in mind. Instruction is based on introductory skill levels and is shaped by the facilities and materials available at each site.

Our goal is to provide a positive, engaging experience where students can learn, try new skills, and enjoy camp!
