FHSD Welcomes New Administrators for 2020-21

FHSD has a few new faces this school year. Beginning July 1, several new administrators joined the FHSD family and several others have assumed new roles.

Dr. Nathan Hoven was named the FHSD new superintendent. Hoven has served as the District’s Deputy Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer for the past two years. He succeeds retiring superintendent Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris.

Dr. Connie Buckman was selected as the new chief academic officer. She will replace Dr. Nathan Hoven, who served as both chief academic officer and deputy superintendent.

Dr. Kenneth Roumpos has been named as the District’s new deputy superintendent. He succeeds deputy superintendent and chief academic officer, Dr. Nathan Hoven.

Dr. Jessie Altman has been selected as the District’s new director of adult learning. Dr. Altman served as an assistant principal at Francis Howell High School and will replace Dr. Connie Buckman.

Jennifer Jolls has been selected as the new director of communications and community relations. Jolls comes to FHSD from the Connor Group in Dayton, OH, where she served as the director of communications, marketing, and reputation enhancement.

Michael Parker has been selected as the interim assistant principal at Francis Howell High School. Parker served as the dean of students at Francis Howell North High School and will replace Dr. Jessie Altman, who was recently named Director of Adult Learning. 

Holly Avis has been selected as the dean of students at Francis Howell High School. Avis joined FHSD in 2013 where she served as an English teacher at Francis Howell Middle School, as a teacher leader, and as a LEAP administrative intern.

Ashley Mair will be the new assistant principal at Francis Howell Central, replacing the retiring Marty Davis. Mair has served as the dean of students at FHC for the past two years.

Dr. Bart Denbow, recently hired as the dean of students at Francis Howell Central High School, will now serve as an assistant principal, filling the position vacated by the retirement of Dave Stofer. Denbow has served as an assistant principal at Sullivan High School in Sullivan, MO, since 2014.

Sonya Borders has been selected as the new dean of students at Francis Howell Central High School, replacing Dr. Denbow. Borders was an English teacher in the Wentzville School District.

Amy Ridling has been selected as the interim dean of students at Francis Howell North High School. Ridling recently served as the Secondary Math and Science Content Leader in FHSD and will replace Michael Parker.

Dr. Kirsteen James has been selected as the principal at Francis Howell Middle School. Dr. James served as the interim principal at FHMS during the 2019-20 school year.

Kelly Longo has been selected as an assistant principal at Francis Howell Middle School. Longo served as the interim assistant principal at FHMS.

Dr. Jessica Karll has been selected as the new principal at Central Elementary School. Prior to joining FHSD, Dr. Karll served as the assistant principal at McKelvey Elementary School in the Parkway School District.

Eric Eubank will serve as the new administrative intern at Fairmount Elementary School. Eubank served as the interim administrative intern during the 2019-20 school year at Fairmount.

Kerri Tharp has been selected as the new assistant principal at Harvest Ridge Elementary. Tharp recently served as the administrative intern at Harvest Ridge. 

Lisa Bohrmann will serve as the new principal at Henderson Elementary School. Bohrmann has served as the assistant principal at Henderson since 2015 and will succeed retiring principal Dr. Jennette Barker.

Elizabeth Malloy will serve as the new assistant principal at Henderson Elementary School. Malloy served as the administrative intern at Independence Elementary School and has been with the District for 13 years.

Ramone West was selected as the administrative intern at Independence Elementary School. West is served as an assistant principal at the Carondelet Leadership Academy, a charter school in St. Louis.

Marlo Scholle has been selected as the new principal at Early Childhood – Central School Road. She succeeds Marcia Birk, who retired effective June 30. Scholle recently served as the administrative intern at John Weldon Elementary.

Mendi McDowell has been selected as the new principal at Early Childhood – Hackmann Road. She follows Jane McKinney, who retired on June 30. McDowell has served as a kindergarten teacher/leader in the Jackson (MO) School District for 19 years.
