 | Mask Update - February 4, 2022 Posted on 02/04/2022 If you have been tracking COVID-19 cases in our District, you likely noticed that cases have been declining over the last two weeks. As of today, there are fewer than 20 known positive cases among nearly 20,000 students and staff. We will continue to monitor the data but are happy to report that FHSD has a significantly lower number of positive cases than when students returned from Winter Break last month.

 | Modified Quarantine Protocols Posted on 12/03/2020 The St. Charles County Department of Public Health issued modified quarantine protocols for K-12 schools regarding quarantines in the school setting. These rules come on the heels of new guidance from the state of Missouri, in conjunction with the Department of Health and Senior Services and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

 | Mask Guidelines Update Posted on 08/27/2020 At FHSD, we are regularly monitoring the COVID situation and have made a commitment to update our guidelines and processes as new information comes forward. Earlier this week, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) updated their recommendations related to students wearing masks or face coverings.

 | First Day of School - Now Aug. 31 Posted on 08/07/2020 On Thursday, the Francis Howell Board of Education approved a delayed start to the upcoming school year, making Monday, Aug. 31 our official first day for both virtual and in-person students. This move will give our teachers and staff the planning and prep time necessary to deliver the high-quality education your children deserve, and to ensure all staff are adequately trained on our new health and safety protocols before students return.
