FHSD Welcomes New Administrators

FHSD has a few new faces this school year. Beginning July 1, several new administrators joined the FHSD family or assumed a new role as an administrator.

Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris was selected as the new Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Hendricks-Harris began her career with the Francis Howell School District in 2006 as the Director of Adult Learning and Program Evaluation before being named as the Chief Academic Officer in 2010. Prior to joining FHSD, she served as an Area Coordinator followed by the Director of Special Education with the Special School District of St. Louis County. She was also a special education teacher with the Special School District, as well as the Fox School District. Dr. Hendricks-Harris earned a doctorate of education degree and educational specialist degree from Lindenwood University. She also holds a master’s degree in Education from University of Missouri – St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in Education from St. Louis University.

Matthew Deichmann was hired as Chief Communications and Community Relations Officer.  He most recently served as the Chief Communications Officer for EducationPlus (formerly Cooperating School District). Prior to EducationPlus, he was the Director of Community Relations in the Wentzville School District.  He also brings several years of experience in the communications industry to this position.

Nicole Whitesell was selected as the new Chief Academic Officer. Whitesell joins FHSD from the Ferguson-Florissant School District where she has served as the Executive Director of Secondary Education since 2011. Prior to the position at Ferguson-Florissant, she taught mathematics at Hazelwood Central High School, as well as served as assistant principal and principal at McCluer High School. 

Lisa Simpkins was hired as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. Simpkins has been a key cog of the Human Resources Department in FHSD since 2013, serving as Director of Human Resources. Before coming to FHSD, Simpkins was the Director of Support Personnel for the Fort Zumwalt School District. She is a seasoned professional, having worked in the human resources field since 1998 - both in education and in business.

Mark Delaney is the new Director of Human Resources. Delaney most recently served as the principal of Bryan Middle School. He served in that role since 2011, and was the assistant principal at Bryan from 2005 to 2011. Prior to that, he served as an assistant principal in the Mehlville School District, and has experience teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels, as well as, coaching experience at the high school level.

Rich Wilson was hired as the Director of Technology. In this role, Wilson will provide leadership to the Technology Department and steer District Technology strategies and programs to continue high student success. He will also develop and oversee the District technology budget to align to the District’s strategic and technology plans.

David Brothers is the new Director of Assessment and Summer Programs. In this role, Brothers will manage FHSD’s assessment methods in order to better serve students and supervise the summer programs offered by FHSD.

Dr. Suzanne Chester will be the new principal of Bryan Middle School. Dr. Chester is currently serving as assistant principal of Ft. Zumwalt East High School.  Previous to her position in Ft. Zumwalt, Dr. Chester served as associate principal at Hazelwood West High School. Dr. Chester has teaching experience at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels.

Jessica DiPaolo has been named Assistant Principal at Francis Howell High School. She served in that role as an interim during the past school year. Prior to coming to FHHS, she served in an administrative role at Hillsboro High School, in the Hillsboro School District.

Jill Oetting has been named Assistant Principal at Becky-David Elementary. She served in that role as an interim during the past school year. Prior to this position, she was a teacher at Harvest Ridge Elementary.

Lisa Bohrmann has been named Assistant Principal at Henderson Elementary. She has served for the past four years at Administrative Intern at Independence Elementary. Prior to that, she was a teacher at Independence.

Dr. Angeline O’Neal-Hogrefe has been named Assistant Principal at Harvest Ridge Elementary. She has served the past two years as Administrative Intern at Daniel Boone Elementary. Prior to that, she was a teacher at Saeger Middle School.

Susan Schneidenbach was named as administrative intern at Saeger Middle School. Susan previously taught French at Francis Howell High School.

Jessie Altman is the new Dean of Students at Francis Howell High School. Altman is currently a Communication Arts teacher at FHHS.

Dr. Julie Tiemeyer was selected as the Administrative Intern at Fairmount Elementary. She is currently a third grade teacher at Central Elementary.

Gina Steffen was hired as Administrative Intern/Literacy Coach at Daniel Boone Elementary. Gina is currently a Literacy Coach at Fairmount Elementary.

Liz Malloy is the new Administrative Intern/Literacy Coach at Independence Elementary. Liz is currently a full time Literacy Coach at Independence Elementary.

Tegan Milford
was selected Administrative Intern/Reading Teacher at John Weldon Elementary. Tegan is currently teaching third grade at Fairmount Elementary.
