Chad Lange Earns Advanced Board Certification

Francis Howell School District (FHSD) Board of Education Vice President, Chad Lange, recently earned Advanced Board Certification from the Missouri School Board’s Association (MSBA). Lange was presented with the award at the June 15 Board of Education Meeting by MSBA Region 7 President, Kenny Biermann.

“Ongoing professional development is a vital part of education,” said Superintendent Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris. “By earning Advanced Board Certification, Mr. Lange continues to demonstrate his commitment to the success of the District and our students.”

School board members are required by Missouri state law to complete 16 hours of Certified Board Member (CBM) Essential Training. To achieve Advanced Board Certification, Board members must earn at least 12 additional training credits, read two books related to school board service, attend at least two MSBA regional or statewide events, and write an essay relating their study to their board service.

FHSD congratulates Mr. Lange, who has been a member of the Board since 2015, for engaging in ongoing professional development to improve the knowledge and skills needed to function as an effective educational leader.
