The Francis Howell School District will join school districts across Missouri on May 1, 2018, to celebrate School Principals’ Day. This special day is designated to recognize all school principals for their leadership and devotion to providing the best education for our students.

“Our principals set the standard for academic excellence as they provide clear attainable goals for student and teacher success,” said Superintendent Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris. “School Principals' Day is the perfect opportunity to highlight the work that these educational leaders do all year long to support students, teachers, and families. “

Principals wear many hats throughout the school day and do more than just dole out student discipline. In FHSD, our principals have the responsibility of shaping a vision of academic success for all students, helping to improve teaching methods, and cultivating leadership in the classroom. They continually strive to create a positive work and learning environment, support professional development, and establish meaningful parent and community involvement.

As one of the most integral members of the school community, they make tough decisions and help to ensure that our students are receiving the best education possible. Their work is endless, and they are worthy of honor for the work they do.
