FHSD Celebrates National School Principals’ Day

Happy National School Principal Day

Today, principals are so much more than a face behind the desk. They are educators, cheerleaders, emotional support counselors, friends, coaches, mentors, collaborators, and leaders. They are the motivating force for their students, teachers, and support staff. Setting the tone for their entire building, it’s their guidance and leadership that helps everyone succeed.

On May 1, 2019, join FHSD in saying thank you to these individuals who go above and beyond as part of National School Principals’ Day. We celebrate, appreciate, and value every principal in FHSD for their dedication to student growth and learning, and their support and instruction for staff. This day provides students, staff, administration, and community members the opportunity to show their appreciation for the contributions that principals make to our schools.

FHSD is lucky to have 20 principals, 33 assistant principals, and 9 administrative interns who care about their students and provide them with the best education possible. “Our District wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication, support, and knowledge of our principals,” said FHSD Superintendent Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris. “Their guidance and leadership set the tone for their entire building and helps everyone succeed. FHSD principals work tirelessly every day to ensure that the needs of their students, staff, and buildings are met.”

Please take a moment on National School Principals’ Day to say thank you to a school principal for all the great things they do for their school community.
