The Francis Howell School District has selected Lisa Bohrmann to serve as the principal of Henderson Elementary School, effective July 1, 2020. Bohrmann has served as the assistant principal at Henderson since 2015 and
will succeed current Principal Dr. Jennette Barker, who is retiring after the current school year.

Bohrmann believes building relationships is key to being a successful leader. Going on home visits, learning student’s interests, and being in the classroom are ways that she connects with students. “I am honored to be returning to Henderson in this new role,” she said. “The staff, students, and families make it a wonderful place to work and learn together. I’m excited about this new adventure!”

Bohrmann is a Francis Howell High School alumnus who also lives in the District. She began her teaching career in Indiana and came back to FHSD in 2004 as a classroom teacher at Independence Elementary. In 2012, she moved to Henderson Elementary as the assistant principal. She has also served the District as a PLC coach, department chair, curriculum writer, and summer school principal.

She received a bachelor’s in education from Indiana University and a master’s in educational administration from Lindenwood University. Bohrmann is currently a doctoral student at Maryville University, with an anticipated graduation date of April 25, 2020.
