Lucas Lammers Appointed as Francis Howell North Interim Principal

Francis Howell School District announced the appointment of Dr. Lucas Lammers as the Interim Principal at Francis Howell North for the 2021-22 school year.

Dr. Lammers will serve the North community for the upcoming school year, and a full hiring process for North’s new principal will begin this winter. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to be involved in the hiring process.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with the dedicated, talented staff at Francis Howell North - one of the best high schools in the State of Missouri,” said Dr. Lammers. “It will be an honor to serve the FHN community.  I look forward to supporting FHN through the excitement of constructing a new school building and hiring their next principal.”

Dr. Lammers brings 17 years of experience in education to the role. He began his career as a social studies teacher at University City High School. In 2007, he joined the Francis Howell School District as a teacher and instructional leader at Francis Howell Central. His administrative work began in 2008 when he took a role as an administrative intern for summer school and served as a LEAP (Leadership in Education Administration Program) intern within the District.

He has also held the roles of Principal for Middle School Summer Academy and Credit Recovery Program, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Associate Principal at a variety of local school districts prior to assuming his current position as Director of Secondary Education for the Francis Howell School District.

Dr. Lammers holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Maryville University, a master’s degree in administration and a bachelor’s degree in history education.
