Students from the Francis Howell School District joined a record 1,900 high school marketing students from across Missouri at the annual DECA State Career Development Conference in March. Saeger Middle School Principal Dr. Kandy Worley exhibits all these traits and more. The Francis Howell School District is proud to announce that seven FHSD students have been named finalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. Francis Howell High students Claire Frank, Jessica Huitsing, Laurie Lee, and Erin Zhang, as well as Francis Howell North students Noah Slaughter, Caitlind Walker, and Maddie Fields, are among the approximately 16,000 Semifinalists chosen as part of the annual academic competition. These finalists, who were selected based on scores on a PSAT qualifying test, are competing for 7,500 scholarships worth more than $32 million, to be awarded this spring.  Read more about FHSD Honors National Merit Scholarship Finalists

The Francis Howell School District is excited to announce the recipients of the 2018 Howell of Fame Awards, which celebrate the outstanding achievements of volunteers and staff. This year’s 12 recipients will be honored at the annual Howell of Fame Awards ceremony on Monday, May 7, along with 2018 District Retirees, District Teacher of the Year, Teachers of the Year from each building, District Support Staff Employee of the Year, and Support Staff Employee of the Year from each building.  Read more about 2018 Howell of Fame Recipients Announced

The Francis Howell School District honored 255 graduating seniors from Francis Howell, Francis Howell Central, and Francis Howell North high schools at a special luncheon held in their honor at Old Hickory Golf Club on Friday, April 6, 2018. National Library Week is a time to recognize the contributions of our library media specialists and celebrate the many ways the Learning Commons (LC) leads our students through the transformative services, programs, and expertise it offers. All parents want their children to do their best, no matter the challenge – or test – at hand. And with a little advice from some FHSD students, parents can help their kids do just that. Parents can watch a fun, short MAP Test Preparation Video, hosted by FHSD students. This video will give parents the knowledge they need to help their kids succeed on the MAP Test, and just about any other test. Yesterday at the polls, voters in our school district did not approve the passage of Proposition Learn, the 48 cent increase in the District’s operating levy. While a majority of our voters said “no,” many of our parents and community members have said “yes” over the past four months. I want to thank all of those volunteers who said “yes” to hard work and long hours for the passage of Proposition Learn because they believed that our students would benefit.  Read more about Proposition Learn Narrowly Fails
