Isabelle Delarue, Francis Howell North (FHN) senior, passed Lisa Kowaleski as the high school’s leading scorer for women’s basketball in a game against Fort Zumwalt North (FZN) on Friday, Feb. 19.

The leading scorer record had been in place since 2001 and was held by Kowaleski with 1,368 points.

“Coaching a player like Isabelle Delarue is every coach’s dream,” said Danielle Rampley, FHN head girls’ basketball coach. “Her hard work and dedication to the sport and to her team is second to none. Scoring her 1,000th point as a junior was an outstanding achievement. This year she has stepped up her game. She has become FHN girls’ basketball all-time leader in points, rebounds and steals.”

Delarue’s performance aided FHN’s victory over FZN (59-23). Her points total will be finalized at the end of the season.

“I am so proud of Isabelle and all of her accomplishment,” said Rampley. “I cannot wait to watch her as she continues her basketball career at Missouri State Next year!”
