 | Save on School Supplies during the Sales Tax Holiday Posted on 07/29/2020 Before you know it summer will be over and everyone will be heading back to school, which means back-to-school shopping is just around the corner. Missouri residents can take advantage of the sales tax holiday, August 7 - 9, 2020. This holiday has been created by the Missouri Department of Revenue specifically for back-to-school purchases such as clothing, backpacks, and school supplies.

 | Transition Day Update Posted on 07/29/2020 Francis Howell School District understands the importance of transitioning our new middle school students and high school students into their new buildings for the 2020-21 school year. Rather than dedicating a specific day prior to the start of the school year, all Francis Howell middle schools and high schools have committed to including transition activities throughout the first week of school (Aug. 31 - Sept.4) for these students.

 | Harvest Ridge Teacher Dione Anderson Selected as Regional Teacher of the Year Posted on 07/28/2020 Dione Anderson, a reading teacher at Harvest Ridge Elementary School, has been named a Regional Teacher of the Year by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). She was selected as one of 10 recipients in the St. Louis Region and one of 34 from across the state who are now eligible for consideration as the Missouri Teacher of the Year. Anderson was previously honored as the 2020 FHSD Teacher of the Year.

 | FHC Sportsmanship Award Posted on 07/28/2020 The FHC Boys and Girls Basketball programs and Activities Department were recently awarded the 2019-20 Sportsmanship Award by the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, Inc. (IAABO). This award is voted on by the member basketball officials. The award is given annually to the Gateway Athletic Conference (GAC) school whose players, coaches, and fans model the best sportsmanship throughout the season in all three levels, including Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman. This is the sixth consecutive year, and the seventh time in the last eight seasons, that FHC has earned this prestigious award.

When our schools open this fall, they will look a little different.  | FHSD High School Return to Activities/Athletics Guidelines Posted on 06/29/2020 District high school activities and athletics will continue the process of returning to participation when Phase 2 begins on July 1. Student and staff safety is always a top priority of the Francis Howell School District and our schools. These guidelines were developed through the collaborative efforts of the District, medical professionals, and the St. Charles County Health Department.
