Erin Steep Named Francis Howell North High School Associate Principal

The Francis Howell School District announced Erin Steep, Ed.D., as the new associate principal at Francis Howell North High School (FHN), effective July 1, 2021.

Dr. Steep has served hundreds of students in the FHN community since 2013. She brings 14 total years of educational experience to the role. Prior to starting her current role as assistant principal at FHN, Dr. Steep acted as the dean of students for the school. She began her career in education as a music teacher and band director at Lonedell R-14 in 2007. She then served as assistant band director at Marquette High School from 2008 until 2013. 

“FHN is my home away from home and I am so honored to have been selected for this position,” she said. “We have an exciting couple of years ahead of us and I am grateful to be a part of it.”

Dr. Steep was recently named the St. Louis Assistant Principal of the Year by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MOASSP).

Dr. Steep holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University, a master’s in Education Administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a bachelor’s in Music Education from Missouri State University.
