Dr. Jacklyn Voelkl named John Weldon Elementary School Principal

The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) has announced the hiring of Dr. Jacklyn Voelkl as the principal of John Weldon Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023. Voelkl is currently serving as John Weldon’s interim principal.

“I am honored for the opportunity to continue to grow and learn with such an inspiring and dedicated group of educators,” Voelkl said. “In this role, I look forward to serving my John Weldon family, as well as the  greater Francis Howell community with passion, joy and a commitment to supporting all of my students on their journey as to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.”
Voelkl served as the principal at St. Charles Borromeo for the last seven years. Prior to that, she was a teacher at Harvest Ridge – another elementary school in FHSD – and a participant in the District’s “LEAP” program, which provides training for teachers who wish to transition to roles in administration. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University in 2017.
